HI! i just got a used THULE mountaineer cargo box serial # EG 244481 i understand that it is old but is there a way to replace the key/lock? it also is missing hinges and was wondering if i could replace those as well thanks!

There are replacement lock cylinders and keys available for your Thule Mountaineer as well as hinges.
For lock cylinders you want the Thule One-Key System Lock Cylinders # TH450200 while for the hinges the correct replacements are the Replacement Dual Force Strut for Thule Roof Box # TH14933.

The locks will fit but they will not allow the inner mechanism for unlocking to work as back of cylinder does not have provision for attaching the necessary screw. You have to drill and tap the hole.
