Are Certain 12 Inch Brake Assemblies Interchangeable?

Question:

Are the brake assembly # 23-458-459 and 23-105-106 interchangeable on a 6K Dexter axle?

The brake assemblies you referenced are the same except the Dexter Nev-R-Adjust Electric Trailer Brake Kit # 23-458-459 are self-adjusting while the Dexter Electric Trailer Brake Kit # 23-105-106 require manual adjustment with a part such as # W80630.

Please note that brake assemblies should only be chosen in part by the weight capacity of your axle. They also need to fit with your correct hub size, mounting flange bolt pattern and wheel size. Each of these assemblies work with 6,000 lb axles, and require 12" hubs with a 5 bolt mounting flange pattern and either 14-1/2", 15", or 16" wheels. You will also need mounting hardware # BRKH12 for either of these assemblies. I've added links to video reviews for you to take a look at as well.
