Recommended Tire and Wheel to Replace Old Tires

Published 12/19/2017

Question:

Can you help me. I have never replaced tires on my trailer and they are older tires. Looking to replace both tire and rim. They are on a 4x8 utility trailer. Any suggestions?

Thanks for the picture, I'm happy to assist. The 18.5 x 8.50-8 gives me the size we need to replace, so I recommend the Kenda 215/60-8 Bias Trailer Tire with 8" White Wheel - 4 on 4 - Load Range C # AM3H290. You will want to inflate these tires to 50 psi before running them each time for best wear and traction. The max load rating of each tire is 935 lbs or 1870 lbs for the trailer axle. These tires come ready to install, so you just check the pressure and go. They will be a major upgrade from the tires with the cracked sidewalls in the photo.

Let me know if you have further questions.
