Question:

Hello, I was wondering if there is something available that is more secure during transit than just the cotter hitch pin that can hold the pin in place? I worry that a bump may knock out the cotter pin and then there is not enough security from the pin coming out and all hell breaking loose. Thank you.

There are more secure options than a standard hitch pin and clip like # C21504 for securing a ball mount or other accessory in a 2-inch hitch.

I can offer you options for both stabilizing the installed item and for locking it for theft deterrence.

So long as the ball mount is a hollow type like # C45036 you can use Let's Go Aero part # 63232 to both stop play and rattle in the hitch and to lock the ball mount, or any other hollow-shank item such as a bike rack like # S64400.
