Tip for Finding Harness to Install Trailer Wiring on 2015 Subaru Outback Wagon

Question:

A comment rather than a question. I had trouble finding the plug from the directions provided. I see others have had this problem too. I removed the luggage tie down fitting by the wheel arch, which provided a hole to see through as well as allowing the side panel lining to spring out from the side so that I could get my hand in. Sure enough the harness plug was there secured with a small piece of blue tape. I then was able to make the connection, poke the fittings behind the lining, replace the tie down fitting and job was done.
