Since you have a 6-1/2 foot bed on your 2018 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 the best Convert-A-Ball Adapter for you to use would be part # CAB-C5GX1216 that has a 7-1/2" offset.

If you have the factory installed gooseneck hitch on your 2018 Silverado 2500 then you should have the factory prep package. This means that you can utilize a 5th wheel hitch instead. This is the route that I recommend going with since you do have a short bed. Using a 5th wheel hitch will allow you to use a slider which will give you enough clearance so that your trailer and cab do not make contact on tight turns.

For your application I recommend the Demco Adapter # DM6194 so that you can use the Demco Hijacker Autosliding 5th wheel hitch. The 18K version is part # DM8550034 and the 21K version is part # DM8550035. Not only does the Hijacker Autoslider have a hitch head with features that make your ride more comfortable, but it also has an autosliding action that keeps you from having to get in and out of your truck multiple times just to make a tight turn.
