Curt Q25 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch for Ram Towing Prep Package, part # C16049, uses a spring-loaded locking dual jaw system to tightly grip your trailer's king pin, as shown in the linked video.
The jaws themselves are between 1/2-inch and 3/4-inch thick depending on exactly where you measure on either the upper or lower jaw parts. Please refer to the linked image of the jaw mechanism.
