Recommendations for Installing BrakeMaster System in 2017 Ford F-150 XLT

Question:
I will be installing the Roadmaster RM 9160 on my 2017 Ford F150 XLT. I will also be installing the brake relay, RM 88400. The question I have is the RV brake monitor light wire on the RM 9160 installed on the cold side inch of the brake switch. The relay also connects to the same wire on the brake switch. Do I connect these two wires together and then connect to the brake switch? Thanks for your help.

In the instructions for the Roadmaster BrakeMaster System w BrakeAway for RVs w Air or Air Over Hydraulic Brakes - Proportional # RM-9160, it clearly states " a stop light switch and a Brake-Lite Relay are mutually exclusive — if you use one, the other is not necessary." You will only use the Roadmaster Brake-Lite Relay Kit for Towed Vehicles # RM-88400.
For this installation, you will need the Roadmaster BrakeMaster Custom Fit Seat Adapter # RM-88316 for your 2017 Ford F-150 XLT.
