What Size Gas Can will the 5 Gallon Gas Can Rack # RA-1L Hold

Question:

Can I get the size of gas can holder? I have 2 5 gallon cans. One is 8.5 x 17 and 17 inches tall. The other is 6.5 x 15 and 19 inches tall. I was wandering if they do not fix they can hang from a hook. Thank you

I went out and measured the 5 Gallon Gas Can Rack for Enclosed Trailers, # RA-1L. I produced a short video also and used a gas can we have here for reference.

I also posted a photo with the dimensions I got for you to review.

The dimensions of the carrier are, 38 inches overall height, 18-1/2 inches overall width, 10-1/2 inches from the bottom to the top of the side rails and the opening is 15-3/4 inches wide by 12-1/2 inches deep, see photo for clarification.

The 5 gallon gas can used in the video measures 9 inches x 15-1/2 inches and 16 inches tall.

It sounds like your larger gas can would not fit in the rack. I would not recommend hanging the cans by a hook inside your trailer because the handle may not be able to support the weight of the can and gasoline on the relatively small surface area of the hook.
