Tire Chain Recommendation for 2017 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD with Tires LT265/60R20

Question:

I need to know what chains or cables are compatible for my 2017 Chevrolet 2500hd High Country 4x4 diesel. The tire size is LT265/60R20E. My understanding from reading some of the other posts I can only use cables and on the rear. Trying to verify and make sure I purchase right type. Thanks

The final authority on whether or not a vehicle can have tire chains installed on them is the owners manual. I checked your online manual and found that your tire size of LT265/60R20E is compatible with snow chains.

So you have a few options. If you will be in deep snow you'd want a square link chain like part # PWE2228SC, if there will be ice you'll want V-bars to break up the ice like part # PWH2828SC. If you want the smoothest ride quality you'd want twist link like part # PWH2228SC which won't do quite as well in deep snow or ice like the others but the lower profile chains make the ride smoother.
