Question:
Can I wire it for a 12 volt socket? To run it from a marine battery? And then to switch it with the Nature Power 5.8 converter AC to DC if electricity hook up is available?

There is no reason why you cannot power your MaxxFan Deluxe Roof Vent # MA00-07500K from your battery using a 12-Volt DC Outlet # HM55115. You will then just need a plug for the socket, rated properly for your power application.
You may want to install a 10 amp fuse with a Fuse Holder # SWC9538 as well to help protect the circuit.
