Question:
I have a 2016 Ford F350 short bed with factory puck and gooseneck. I am now using an Anderson ultimate fifth wheel. I like it but it has a few issues. It has a very large footprint in my bed. it also requires raising and lowering the trailer 2 or 3 inches ever time you want to unhook or reattach. I also knocked a window out of my truck last year by turning too short. I am considering a manual slider. Either a Curt or BandW. Would like to know the overall dimensions of both as well as there weight. 16000 lb. capacity is all that I need but would like your thoughts and suggestions. Also , I have a 3/8 inch rubber mat in the bed that I want to keep. How big of holes do you need at the pucks.

Helpful Expert Reply:
Slider hitches in general are pretty heavy, but they will allow you to make tight turns without cab interference so you won't break windows like you have been. The Companion part # BWRVK3370 which is the correct fit for your 2016 Ford F-350 weighs 266 lbs but can be disassembled to make removal and install easier. It has a slider footprint of 36" long x 32-5/16" wide.
The Curt A16 part # C16520-16020 weighs 254 lbs total. It's foot print is 32-1/2" wide x 20-1/2" long
