Trailer and Wheel Recommendation for Replacing 8.75/16.5
Published 10/27/2017 >
Question:
I have a 3 axle galvanized boat trailer with old 8.75/16.5E tires and wheels. The trailer has a 15000 gvwr with 6 x 5 1/2 bolt pattern. What tire and wheel package would you recommend?

Expert Reply:
That is an unusual tire size to see on a trailer, but for a similar setup that is rated for trailer use and would work well we have the part # TA59VR which is a tire size 235/80R16 mounted to a 16 inch trailer wheel with a 6 on 5-1/2 inch bolt pattern.
What's great about the tire that comes with this is that it has a higher speed rating of 81 mph as well.
Per tire it has capacity of 3,520 lbs at 80 psi.
