is there any security hardware that comes with this basket ?If not where can I purchase security hardware ?

I have good news for you, even though the security device does not come with the Thule Canyon XT # TH859XT, you can add locks with the product #TH450400. These locks secure a cover over the hardware that connects the basket to the crossbars. This greatly deters theft of the basket.
