What is the Throw Measurement on the Redline T-Handle Door Latch # L4080

Question:

what is the throw on the catch? Im looking to use this on a custom lift type aluminum door. Can it be mounted in any position? Thanks.

The Redline T-Handle Door Latch, part # L4080 can be mounted in any position you choose. You will just need to make sure the latching bar will catch, wherever the door latch is mounted.

The amount of throw on the latch is 1-1/2 inches. See the accompanying photo for the area I measured on the latch.

Check out the dimension picture I attached for the Latch Part #L4080 that you referenced. I believe the dimension you are looking for is 1/2 inch on all sides from the edge of the latch flange to the center of the mounting holes.

The T-Handle Latch - Stainless Steel #PLR5730 has holes 3-3/4 inches on center horizontally and 3-1/4 inches on center vertically. I've attached a photo to assist. The #L4080 has the same dimensions.

The #L4080 mounts in a hole that measures 2-3/4" x 3-3/4". I attached a picture that has every other dimension as well. The bolt pattern is 3-1/4 inches vertically and then 3-3/4 inches horizontally.
