Question:

Will the Thule Ascent 1700 fit on a 2018 Subaru Outback Limited with factory roof rack? The hatch has a feature that allows it to set the height that the door raises.

The Thule Ascent 1700 should fit bars that are up to 2 inches tall and up to 3-1/4 inches wide, giving you a wide range of compatibility.

If you need replacement clamps for the Ascent, they are part # TH05738.

For the hatch clearance, you'll want to measure from the center of the front clamps to the rear of the box, and compare this with the distance from the center of your front crossbar to the line where your hatch meets your roof. If the box is shorter than the vehicle, you won't have any problem opening the hatch. If its longer, you'll need to use your vehicle's features to prevent the hatch from contacting the box.
