How can I tell rather my 2014 Mazda3 has LED tail lights or regular lights?

The good news is that the trailer wiring harness part # 118405 fits your 2014 Mazda 3 whether it has LEDs or does not so it would work well for you either way. It also fits sedans or hatchbacks too.
LED taillights are a bit different than incandescent bulbs. For me, if they are obnoxiously bright and almost hurt your eyes to look at they're LEDs...haha. The other more reliable way to tell is to look at the transition of the lights from off to on. If they lights seemingly warm up as they turn on like there's a smooth transition between off and on then you have an incandescent. If the transition is incredibly abrupt then it's LED.
Also incandescents put out quite a bit of heat whereas LEDs do not so you can feel the housing too and see if there's a temperature change.
