How do ypu remove the old nutsert to replace with a new one?
asked by: Don F
Expert Reply:
If the existing nutsert from DeeZee Tailgate Assist # DZ43301 is stripped out or is otherwise unable to come out then you may be able to gently pry it out some and then get some vise grips around it and pull it out. Otherwise it will likely have to be drilled out. Some tailgates do have panels on the inside that can come off to access the inner workings of the tailgate so in some cases you may be able to force it out through the inside.
