Is it possible to extend the video cable to mount the camera on the back of my travel trailer?

I do have an alternative option for you but I spoke to my contact at Edge Products and they informed me that they do not make an extension cable to extend the video cable from the rear of your travel trailer to the cab where your Edge monitor is located. They also stated that they do not recommend cutting and extending the wire in the Backup Camera for Edge Color Touch Screen part # EP98201.
In order to use the Edge monitor in your cab with a rear view camera mounted at the back of your travel trailer, I recommend using the Rear View Safety License Plate Backup Camera part # RVS-778. If your truck and travel trailer is longer than 30' you will need the Rear View Safety Camera Extension Cable part # RVS-105N. As long as your travel trailer is not longer than 49' then this extension will work for you.
Since you will be installing the rear view camera on a travel trailer and not the vehicle, uncoupling the trailer and detaching the camera will take a bit more effort. You have a few options. You can either unplug the female 13 pin connector on the cable extension from the camera or from the monitor, the choice is yours and I recommend going with whichever method is easier for you.
I have included a video review of the backup camera for you.
