Question:
I need towing mirrors for my 1999 GMC Sierra 1500 pickup towing a travel trailer that is 8 feet wide. Will this mirror give me the required reward view along the side of the trailer to allow me to safely change lanes without the back of the trailor hitting a vehicle behind and beside me in the lane that I want to change into?

When adding CIPA Custom Towing Mirror, # 10801, and # 10802 to your 1999 GMC Sierra, they will essentially work as if your factory mirror was 6 inches longer. When you combine the added length with the adjustability of the glass you should be able to see down the side of the trailer to make changing lanes safer. I have included a link to a video that may help illustrate the effectiveness of the mirrors.
These mirrors will also fit full plastic mirrors and mirrors with turn signals that are built into the glass. They will not fit full chrome mirrors, mirrors with external turn signals,or telescopic mirrors.
You may also want to add a Hot Spot Mirror, # 49102, for increased visibility in blind sports while passing and changing lanes.
