Question:

If I plug the 30 amp male into a 30 amp receptical only, then will the male 15 amp be hot energized ?

The Power Grip RV Power Maximizer - 50 Amp Female to 15 Amp Male and 30 Amp Male # CAM55025 has independent wiring connected to the 50 amp Female end. When you plug in the 30 amp male, there will not be 30 amps of power going to the smaller 3 prong male connector as that would give you a live circuit exposed to the elements. The nice thing is that when there is a 15amp circuit available that is not GFI, then you can send 45 amps to your 50 amp system.

If you just need the converter from 30 to 50 for the times you don't have 50 available, you can use the Mighty Cord Dogbone RV Power Cord Adapter - 50 Amp Female to 30 Amp Male - 12" # A10-3050FHVP and not have the extra hanging wire of the 15 amp.
