Question:

We have a 2017 Forest River Salem Cruise Lite we want to add a double step instead of the single step it came with. Could you please tell me if the flex so 2100 is an easy add-on?

It is usually a straightforward process to replace an existing RV step unit with a new one, perhaps one with more steps or one with a different height between the steps, or even an electric one. We have 2-step units in manual and electric models and all are shown on the linked page. Unfortunately RV makers do not maintain specs on items such as step assemblies.

What you want to do is measure your existing step's overall width and the center-to-center spacing of its mounting holes. Click on the width you need; 24-inch-wide steps are the most common size. A very popular manual step model is the Flexco # SMFP-2100. This step's mounting holes are spaced apart 24-1/2 wide x 7-inches deep and the mounting base overall dimensions are 26-1/8 wide x 8-inches deep.
