What Brake Fluid Should be Used in Surge Brake Actuators

Can silicone brake fluid be used in your hydraulic surge brake applications ?

Expert Reply:
DOT 3 or DOT 4 brake fluid is recommended for Demco brake actuators like the # DM72VR. You should never use DOT 5 as it will wear out seals very quickly.
