Seal Recommendation for Replacing National 473317

Question:

Per a post that I found: The bearings you want are # L68149 and # L44649. I was able to cross-reference numbers from your existing seal to find the match for a replacement seal is # 168233. It has an inner diameter of 1.688 inches and an outer diameter of 2.332 inches. The race that matches the L68149 bearing is # L68111. The race matching L44649 is # L44610. The seal 168233 is also known as National 473317, My issue is that seal is only 0.31inch deep. I need the 0.50inch deep model. What do you suggest?

We only have one seal that matches the inner and outer diameter you need and that is the part # 168233 that you referenced. It may not be quite as wide as your current seal but it still will fit the hub and work well.

I have attached a photo of the inside of a hub you can check out. In the photo the arrow indicates how the seal is installed on the hub. As you can see the flat side of the seal is flush with the edge on the inside of the hub. It would not need to be pushed past that point.
