Fittings for a Transmission Cooler for a 2016 Volvo V60 Polestar

Updated 09/05/2017 | Published 09/02/2017

Question:

Well you guys make installing an aftermarket transmission cooler look pretty easy. I have a less common vehicle, a 2016 Volvo V60 Polestar, which is Volvos high performance line. I have already made numerous mods to my vehicle, including an upgraded intercooler, downpipe and intake. The vehicle has a stock tran cooler, a small finned block situated inside the engine compartment behind the radiator. There is space infront of the intercooler behind the lower grill for a short narrow cooler. My question is tapping into the stock transmission lines. I am not sure how the fittings work on a Volvo, although a lot of Volvo parts are FoMoCo parts, usually of European decent. Do you have any experience in removing the fittings from the stock T cooler on Volvos?

Since we haven't had the chance to install a transmission cooler on a 2016 Volvo V60 Polestar yet I am not sure what kind of fitting that your transmission cooler uses.

What you can do to ensure that it fits a transmission cooler is cut the fitting off of your hose, measure your hose diameter, and then choose a compression fitting that matches the diameter of your hose. We have one for a 3/8" Line # D13032, a 5/16" Line # D13031, and a 1/2" Line # D13033.

You can then filter through our linked selection of transmission coolers and find one that has the correct corresponding inlet.
