Question:

Can you please advise the span between the two mounting bolts on the bottom of the holder Malone Downloader Kayak J-Rack . I have an aftermarket rack on the bed of my ram 3500. The oval bars are 3.5 inches wide. Will the stock mounting bracket fit this rack?

The Malone Download, part # MPG114MD , will definitely fit the width of your bars, as they have a 3-1/2 inch opening, but to get the height, you'll need to use the included 70 mm bolts to make up the difference if they're thicker than 1 inch. The Download can handle up to 1-3/4 inch thick crossbars when using the larger included bolts.

I recommend also purchasing a kit of Malone Quick Lash T loops, part # MPG308 to add easy to use mounting points to your hood and trunk for the bow and stern tie downs. These save a lot of time, energy and lower the risk of damage to your vehicle's finish.
