Where does the black wire connect to on the trailer? curt 7way replacement wiring

Sounds like you are talking about the 12 volt accessory circuit of a 7-way and are asking about where it would need to get ran.
Normally this circuit goes to the positive post of a trailer battery and is used to keep the battery topped off but it can also be ran to power exterior or interior trailer lights.
