What is the width of the double elbow at the top. I am redoing a 73 septic system and want to not make any more adaptation than I need to the existing tanks.

The inner diameter of the Valterra Double Elbow DWV Fitting for RV Sewer System - 90-Degree - 3" Hub # D50-3047 is 3-1/2 inches. This will give you an outer diameter at the top of 3-7/8 inches. I've attached a video to help further.
You will want to use ABS solvent cement # A05-0303 to bond this fitting to your pipes.
