Bike Rack for Nissan Murano Cross Cabriolet Convertible

what type of bike rack will fit to Nissan Murano 2011 convertible? hoping for a trunk but might need a trailer hitch style

You are correct that you will need a hitch-mounted bike rack with your 2011 Nissan Murano Cross Cabriolet. The only hitch that is a confirmed fit is the Curt # 13577, a Class III hitch that bolts on; I've added a link to a video of an install of this hitch for you to take a look at.

With a bike rack, you have a couple of options - a platform rack and a hanging rack. For a platform rack I recommend checking out the Swagman XTC # S64670. It is a wheel mount design that uses padded ratcheting hooks to secure the frame of your bike and rubber straps to secure the wheels. It comes with a threaded pin and clip but to lock the rack to your hitch I recommend the Locking Anti-Rattle, Threaded Hitch Pin for Swagman Hitch Racks # S64029.

A platform rack with more features would be the Swagman Chinook # S64683. It also uses padded ratcheting hooks to secure your bike's frame and straps to secure your bike's wheels, but this rack folds up for easy storage when not in use, can tilt down with bikes loaded or unloaded for access to your Murano's rear cargo area, and includes locks for both the rack and bikes.
