Question:
Will the Blue Ox fuse bypass kit work on a 1996 Chevy Geo Tracker 2 door, 4 whd? If so, anything special I need to know? I am wanting to bypass the fuse that covers the warning and indicator lights, Ignition System, Gages, and 4 wheel drive system not quite sure what that means. My big problem is that the warning buzzer sounds continuously while the ignition key is in the Acc. position. Obviously I need it there to unlock my front wheels while towing.

Does the warning sound eventually go off if the door is shut on your 1996 Geo Tracker? If so that would save you the trouble of having to shut off power to those things to flat tow the vehicle. The Warning and Indicator lights use the fuse in location 8 in the fuse block located under the left side of the instrument panel. However this fuse is also for the ignition system, gages, and 4-wheel drive system. I am not certain that you could still flat tow the vehicle if there is no power to this fuse.
You can help prevent the lights and alarm from draining the vehicle battery by running a power wire from the RV, through the lighting system you are using, and to the Tracker battery. To keep a maintenance charge on the battery I recommend using a harness such as # BX88206 with the tow bar wiring you will be using so that you can run a wire from the connector at the front of the truck to the vehicle battery.
There are a couple of ways to do this. First, you can tap into the running light circuit in the tow bar wiring but to provide power to the battery the RV running lights would have to be on all the time. Or if the connector at the back of the RV has a working 12 volt circuit you could use that circuit instead.
Which ever way you choose you would just attach the wire to the appropriate corresponding pin at the back of the connector that will be at the front of the truck and the other end of that wire will go to the positive battery terminal.
