Can the rubber on the end be removed and reattached after shortening the pole?

I don't see any reason why you wouldn't be able to reattach the rubber handle of the Access EZ-Retriever # A70950, though the entire assembly is only five feet. I've attached a review video of this item for you to take a look at.
