Expert Reply:
I have the perfect gooseneck trailer hitch designed to fit your 1980 Chevrolet K30. For this I recommend using the B&W Turnoverball Underbed Gooseneck Trailer Hitch w/ Custom Installation Kit part # BWGNRK1400. This gooseneck hitch has a gross towing weight of 30,000 lbs which is the highest of any 5th wheel/gooseneck hitch we have available for you.
You can also add a 5th wheel trailer hitch to this gooseneck for 5th wheel towing application without the need for installing a set of base rails using the B&W Companion Gooseneck-to-5th-Wheel Trailer Hitch Adapter part # BWRVK3500 for short beds and part # BWRVK3400 for long beds. Each of these 5th wheel hitches have a 20,000 lb. rating.
