Question:
Hi there, I have an older camper that has a threaded ring type of connector on the sewer outlet. Its messy and inconvenient so Id like to update it to a lug/bayonet style. My first thought was to cut the existing pipe back behind the threaded ring and install the # T1029-2 in its place, but the grey water joins too close to where the cut would have to be made which doesnt leave sufficient room to overlap the existing 3inch pipe. I then found this item T1029-4, which looks like it would work with the existing ring without having to cut the pipe. However, the outer measurement on the existing threads on the cap is about 3.75. I believe the standard outer measurement is 3.5? If this part wont work, is there another solution that you might have?

We do not have an adapter that is threaded on the inside to work with the sewer hose outlet that is threaded on the outside on your trailer. But what you could do is replace what you have with something like Double RV Waste Valves - Wye - 3" Fixed Hub and 1-1/2" Rotating Hub to 3" Lug Item # T38 in order to replace both the black and gray water valves.
