Question:
2017 Toyota Tacoma 6 cyl double cab, 5 foot bed. We hooked a cargo trailer up to truck today for the first time and the truck is sending all the power to the right trailer light. I know its the truck because we hooked it up to a different trailer and it did the same thing. Even when the truck is off, the right back trailer light is on. Please help.

Since the issue appears to be on the vehicle side for your 2017 Toyota Tacoma, I recommend first checking the connector itself. Look to see if there is any dirt or corrosion built up inside the connector that may preventing a solid connection with the trailer harness. Also check the wires directly behind the connector for any damage.
Another possibility, especially if your Tacoma has the factory tow package, is a blown fuse. Check the fuses under the hood for any blown fuse that might be causing the issue with the left side of the trailer lights. If a replacement is needed, you can simply locate your local Toyota dealer or a local auto parts store for the correct fuse.
