Will Installation of Draw-Tite Hitch on 2006 Toyota Matrix XR Require Trimming the Bumper?
Updated 08/03/2017 | Published 08/02/2017 >
Question:
Is it necessary for my 2006 XR Matrix along with the 24812 hitch to buy the additional Fastener and bolt kit? Also it doesn't look like the trim on the bottom part of the bumper of this car needs to be removed necessarily. Am I getting the right idea on that?

All of the required hardware comes with the Draw-Tite Sportframe # 24812; no additional fastener or bolt kit will be necessary to install it on your 2006 Toyota Matrix.
As for the bumper you do have the right idea. Only the XRS and XR Sport will require removal of some of the fascia because of the design of those models. I've added a link to a video showing an install on a 2009 Matrix to give you an idea of the process.
