Whats the measurement of the adapter to connect to my cargo carrier?

The Surco Folding Basket Adapter # 52015 referenced in your question has a distance of 12-1/4 inches from the center of the hitch pin hole to the hitch pin hole for the basket. The width between the two brackets is 2-1/16 inches. I have attached an image with these measurements labeled for you to check out.
This adapter is verified to work with the Curt Railed Cargo Carrier # C18150. It will allow you to fold the cargo carrier platform up and towards the vehicle when not in use.
