The first thing to check on the Opti-Brite RV Interior Strip Light w/ Switch - Awning Mount - White LEDs - Black Housing Item # ILL70CBSBAWN is the ground wire. Make sure it is grounded to a clean bare metal surface. A weak ground could cause the light to not light up all the way.
An easy test would be to connect the light wires to a 12 volt battery. If it still does the same thing then there is a problem inside the lights and they will need to be replaced.
