Hi, Vehicle: 2017 FORD * TRANSIT CARGO VAN Im looking for a kayak rack system to fit my new vehicle. Right now theres nothing on top of the van. Question 1 Do I need lateral bars to support a Thule kayak carrying system? Question 2 What are my options? Prefer to stay with THULE Question 3 What would I need for the Thule 898 - Hullavator Pro System? Sincerely,

We have just what you'd need to install the Thule Hullavator # TH898 on the roof of your 2017 Ford Transit Connect with a naked roof. You will need a roof rack that has crossbars that run from left to right.
For that the Thule Aeroblade roof rack part numbers # TH711420, # TH460R, and # THKIT3032 would be what you need. This rack is a confirmed fit for your vehicle and will attach to the factory fixed mounting points that you have on the roof of your vehicle
