The Rhino-Rack Roof Rack that consists of # RRVA126B-2 and # RRSX022 for your 2016 Volkswagen Touareg does have a weight capacity of 165 pounds. I also recommend checking the capacity of your vehicle's roof as listed in the owner's manual. You will need to stay below the lower of the two limits.

This is a very nice roof rack system that features two 49 inch Vortex Aero Crossbars for a quiet and low-profile design. The SX Series Legs will simply clamp onto the factory raised side rails on your Touareg's roof and tighten down with the included hardware.
