Thanks....I see there is also a Curt 56584. Can you tell me the difference between the Curt 55384 and the Curt 56584?

Yes, the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness for Factory Tow Package - 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # C55384 will plug in line with the factory 7-Way trailer connector on a 2015 Ram 1500. I have linked a video showing an example installation on a different truck.

Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness for Factory Tow Package - 5-Pole Flat Trailer Connector Item # C56584 will also work with your 2015 Ram 1500. The difference between it and # C55384 is the trailer connector. Harness # C56584 has a 5-Way flat whereas # C55384 has a 4-Way flat. If you have a boat trailer with an electric reverse lockout surge coupler then it will likely have a 5-Way flat. The 5th circuit is usually tied to the reverse lights so when the vehicle is in reverse it activates the reverse lockout so the trailer can back up without the brakes engaging. Most, but not all, 4-Way flat connectors can also plug into a 5-Way.
