The trailer hitch receiver with the highest capacity for your 2005 Mitsubishi Outlander is the Curt Class II # C12293. It bolts onto the Outlander's frame with no drilling and includes all the necessary hardware.

Then to power the trailer's lights use # C55565 for a wiring harness. It plugs into the Outlander's wiring behind the side panels in the rear cargo area. You have to remove the plastic vent covers to access the connection points. See the picture I attached for the locations.

You'll also need a ball mount and hitch ball. I've attached a link to an article to help you determine the correct rise or drop you may need. Once you choose a ball mount you can then choose a hitch ball to fit it. The recommended ball mount with the Class II Curt hitch is # C45503. The hitch balls to fit are # 19258 for a 2 inch ball or # 19256 for a 1-7/8 inch ball. Choose whichever fits the trailer's coupler. Then use # PC2 for the pin and clip.

I've also included links to some articles on towing that you might find helpful.
