There are a few limitations when installing the Thule Hullavator Pro Kayak Carrier and Lift, # TH898.
The carrier will fit square and most crossbars with top channels in the crossbar. The crossbars must have a minimum spread of 24 inches. This is measured from center to center of the crossbars.
Also, the crossbars must extend between 4 to 8 inches beyond the mounting feet of your roof rack. This length will guarantee the there will be enough between your vehicle and the Hullavator when the unit is lowered from the roof rack.
The Thule Hullavator cannot be used with Yakima round load bars. Also, both the vehicle's roof and roof rack must have a weight capacity of 130 lbs or more to be able to use the Hullavator.
You can review the attached installation instructions for more information on installing the Thule Hullavator.
