Installing an Electric Brake Controller in a 2007 Chevrolet Suburban
Updated 07/10/2017 | Published 07/07/2017 >
Question:
I found four wires tapped up with blunt ends. There was no label on them. The colors did not match the instructions that came with the brake controller. There is no white wire. Instead there is a yellow wire. All the other colors match the instructions. Should I wire to the yellow ware or should I terminate my efforts? thanks

Expert Reply:
Use a circuit tester like # PTW2993 to test the wires for their functionality. Vehicle manufacturers often use different wire coloring so it's best to determine the functions instead of using the color.
