Expert Reply:
If you have the Yakima Black Jetstream crossbars on your 2017 Forester, the longer crossbars that will work with your roof rack are part # Y00426 for 60 inch, and part # Y00427 for 70 inch.
If you have the Yakima CoreBar roof rack, replacement 60 inch crossbars are part # Y00422 and 70 inch are part # Y00423.
If your roof rack has round crossbars you can use part # Y8810025 for 66 inch and part # Y00411 for 78 inch.
You will need to check with your local authorities to see if there is a restriction with the length of roof rack crossbars, especially if they extend beyond your mirrors.
