How visible is this receiver? Sticking out beyond the bumper. 1999 Ford F150 4WD with tow hooks

I spoke with my contact at Curt and he stated that what you can do to see where the receiver will be is to take one measurement. On the truck, measure from the center of the forward most bolt that holds the tow hook to the truck out 5 inches. That is where the end of the receiver will be once the Curt Front mount Trailer Hitch, # 31038, is installed. I have included a link to the installation instructions for reference.
