It sounds like you might be looking for a pintle hook with a 2-5/16 inch hitch ball like the Buyers Products # 33710055. This pintle hook and hitch ball combo will attach to a mounting plate like the B&W # BWPMHD14004 and provide a 16,000 pound capacity with the pintle hook and a 12,000 pound capacity with the hitch ball.
