Question:

I have a Falcon 2 tow bar W articulated ends w/ a large pin w/ a clip. The base plate has flat ends w/ holes. Your quick disconnects dont have a U shaped connection to place the end and pin thru. 2010 Focus

It sounds to me like you are trying to use the Roadmaster Falcon 2 Tow Bar part # RM-520 on the Roadmaster EZ Base Plate Kit part # 524413-1A without the crossbar. In order for the EZ base plate kit to work with the Falcon 2, you will need to use the Roadmaster Quick Disconnect Tow Bar Base Assembly part # 910021-00 if you do not already have one included with your Falcon 2 tow bar.

The crossbar attached to the tow bar will need to be secured to the base plates on the vehicle. The quick-disconnect feature will allow you to remove the arms from the crossbar without having to remove the entire assembly.

In order to deter theft of your tow bar, I recommend using the Trailer Hitch Receiver Lock part # e98882.
