Dimensions for Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # 13390 for 2013 Subaru Outback Wagon

Question:
Dear Sirs, I am looking at part # 13390, Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit Class III - 2. I have a 2013 Subaru Outback 3.6R Limited and would like to change the current hitch to one that will be either flush or a little more aft of the body of the car. The current is hidden and hinders several hitch accessories, kind of the bane of towing. It looks as if this hitch will do the job but I was wondering if you could give me some dimensions? The square tube length, the overall dimensions of part, length and width, and the length of round tube from the brackets to the 2inch hitch. I want to be sure that this will come closer to the rear edge of the bumper. Otherwise there wouldnt be much of a point in replacing the current hitch. Thanks,

I went out to our warehouse to take a few measurements of the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # 13390 referenced in your question. I have attached an image with these dimensions labeled.
The total width of the trailer hitch is 25-3/4 inches. The length of the brackets that will attach to your Subaru's frame is 11 inches. The square receiver tube length is 6-1/2 inches.
Also, when installing this trailer hitch onto the 2012 Subaru Outback Wagon, there was a measurement of 2-1/2 inches from the center of the hitch pin hole to the outermost edge of the rear bumper. I recommend taking this same measurement on your existing trailer hitch to see how this compares.
I have attached the installation video that you can use for reference.
