Question:

I currently have and use the aluminum tripod stabilizer on our fifth wheel camper and it works wonderfully. A new tow vehicle and a change tongue Anderson hitch will result in the need to switch from the coupler to the ball. Im wondering if I can just purchase the threaded ball for the tripod to avoid having to take off the conversion attachment on the campers fifth wheel every time I set up. Thanks in advance.

I called my contact at Ultra-Fab that makes the tripod stabilizers for fifth wheel trailers and gooseneck trailers. They told me this is a common problem when folks need have a fifth wheel stabilizer and now need a stabilizer for a gooseneck trailer.

If your tripod is either an Ultra-Fab # UF19-950500 or # UF19-950200, and they have been manufactured after 2014, we have a replacement ball assembly that will work. The ball assembly is part # UF19-001057.
