Are Fulton Hand Wheel Trailer Couplers Secure or Can they Loosen Up While Driving

Question:

I have always used couplers with the fast lock device. Once they are in place, I have always felt secure about them not coming off. How likely is it for the hand wheel design to loosen up while driving? Im thinking about ordering one for my trailer.

The Fulton hand wheel coupler # F3080217 actually has a retention device that prevents the hand wheel from backing off. It is that metal piece you see sticking out from the handle. It would have to be pushed down for the hand wheel to turn counter-clockwise so it can't loosen up! So I would say it is as secure as other coupler styles if not more so.
